Waiting for Batman Minneapolis, MN and Austin,TX It's 1963. Commissioner Gordon and his chief of police, Clancy O'Hara have just phoned Batman to, once again, solve a (seemingly) unsolvable crime by one of Gotham's most daring and egregious super-villains. The Caped Crusader leaps into action, per usual, and speeds toward City Hall in the Batmobile. But what happens in those anxious 22 minutes? Who are these two men, who so cavalierly doff their responsibilities and bestow such easy trust to a masked man in tights? What gambit have they casually embarked on that stains their very souls with the resignation that they have no worth in the world other than to call someone else to handle their problems? It is here that we find that the real story was never with Batman, but with the incidental underlings known as Chief O'Hara and The Commissioner!
