Sisters Celestina (Esperanza) and Catalina (Laura) ran a factory that made bathing suits. They were successful and rich. Then one day Celestina (the inventor) decided she would make "suit suits" instead, and they lost a lot of money. This drove a wedge between the sisters because Celestina always had crazy ideas that Catalina (the brains) had to deal with. Gilberto (Andy) was their good friend super sexy model with the body of a "Greek God." But he got a severe case of scurvy and only had 4 months to live, and his bod went from Greek God to Roman God, which apparently isn't as sexy. Anyway, he wanted the clothing factory to continue to be successful so he offered to get his friend to lend them some money so they wouldn't go out of business. However, his friend turned out to be Marisol (Gabriela), the queen of the cartels, but only the beach cartel, as our narrator Alonso confirmed. Friends Sofia (Cindy) and Valentina (Cristy) were freeloaders who lived with the sisters, but since they were going to lose all of their money, they would soon find themselves having to get their own jobs. Sofia, being the money-hungry woman that she was, was not about to start working, so she went from rich person to rich person to see who she could couple with just for the money. She also encouraged Gilberto to get the money from the friend/cartel leader. Valentina did not like the idea of borrowing money from an unknown source because she did know who was the source — her ex-lover-turned-enemy Marisol! She tries to warn them but it's too late, Marisol has lent them money. Gilberto finds out that Celestina has been hiding a fortune all along but led them all to believe that she lost all of her money. This makes Gilberto angry, and then he and Catalina switch to Marisol's side. Marisol confronts Celestina and asks her to sign the paperwork to hand over the company for them to control. When Celestina says no, Marisol starts dismembering the hamster Cortez to teach everyone a lesson. She also cut Sofia's face and licked the knife. Once the hamster is injured, the rest of the friends realize the mistake that they made and tries to make things right. Gilberto's body continues to deteriorate. Celestina asks Sofia to kill Marisol. Valentina meets Marisol at the library where we learn that the reason that they are enemies is because Marisol killed Valentina's brother. At that moment, Sofia enters, and upon finding out that her former lover (Valentina's brother) was killed by Marisol, becomes enraged. Gilberto enters from a hidden tunnel that is kilometers long and holds Marisol as Sofia shoots her several times. Marisol dies in Valentina's arms. Her last words to Valentina were about how she always loved her. And Valentina tells her that she was always a bitch and closes her eyes as she dies. Celestina and Catalina make amends. Catalina tells Celestina that she can continue to have big ideas and grow the company. Gilbert gets an invention that cures his scurvy. Cortez gets prosthetic limbs. Sofia professes her love for Valentina and they kiss.
